Recently, I participated in the QUT Design School's Impact Lab 2: People Design Intensive. I had the chance to work closely with a client, TradeMutt, in order to articulate a design proposal to make the key message of Trade Mutt more influential and to expand their potential reach.
TradeMutt is a social enterprise workwear brand by tradies for tradies. Their goal is to tackle mens suicide in Australia, as well as make Aussie tradies look great, feel great and be part of a movement that will change the face of mens mental health forever.
Our concept was urban visual murals that were to be located throughout cities and regional towns in which included QR codes. The murals would draw in attention and the QR codes when scanned would take those interested to the TradeMutt website to learn more.
The second part of our concept was to change the normal clothing swing tags to USB tags. Once a shirt was purchased consumers could access professional information on how to help others, or themselves who are struggling with mental health issues.
